Ha Giang Loop 4 Day Motorbike Tour

Ha Giang Loop 4 Day Motorbike Tour through mountain passes, ethnic villages, and breathtaking landscapes in northern Vietnam

This Ha Giang Loop 4 Day Motorbike Tour is the ultimate experience for travelers seeking dramatic landscapes, rich ethnic culture, and the true sense of freedom. Accompanied by local Easy Riders, you’ll ride along winding mountain roads, cross deep valleys and hidden waterfalls, and explore some of northern Vietnam’s most breathtaking and remote regions.

The journey covers iconic highlights across Ha Giang: the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, the emerald Nho Que River, the sacred Lung Cu Flag Tower, the magnificent Lung Khuy Cave, remote Hmong villages, bamboo rafting spots, and lush terraced rice fields — all connected by quiet scenic roads far off the tourist trail.

You’ll stay overnight in authentic stilt-house homestays, share warm meals with local families, sip homemade corn wine, and immerse yourself in the rich rhythms of highland life. This isn’t just a tour — it’s a journey that awakens your senses, slows you down, and leaves lasting memories of Ha Giang’s wild and wondrous beauty.

Itinerary

Day 1: Ha Giang - Thai An - Den Thuong - Lung Ho - Du Gia

In the morning, our local guide and easy rider will pick you up from your Ha Giang hotel or the bus station, and take you to breakfast and our starting point.

Your adventure begins at 9:00 AM from our office in Ha Giang City, where you'll meet your local Easy Rider – your trusted companion throughout the journey. After a short briefing, you’ll be equipped with a helmet, protective gear, and everything you need for a safe and exciting ride.

Leaving the city behind, you'll cruise into the stunning countryside, where the road opens up to breathtaking mountain views and endless greenery. After about an hour of riding, we’ll make our first stop at a hidden waterfall tucked deep within the forest. It’s the perfect spot to relax, swim, and cool off in the crystal-clear, refreshing water.

Back on the road, your journey continues through quiet cornfields and narrow, winding paths designed specifically for motorbikes – far from traffic and tour buses. This is where the real charm of Ha Giang reveals itself: untouched landscapes, peaceful minority villages, and raw, authentic Vietnam.

By late afternoon (around 4:00 – 5:00 PM), you’ll arrive in the tranquil village of Du Gia, where your warm and welcoming local host awaits you. Settle into your traditional stilt-house homestay, then take a walk around the nearby rice terraces. If you're visiting during the rice season, you’ll even get to observe – or join – local farmers as they work the fields in traditional ways.

In the evening (around 7:00 PM), enjoy a delicious homemade dinner with your host family, followed by a round of “happy water” – the local rice wine – and friendly conversations. Then, rest and recharge in your cozy room, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the mountains.

Day 2: Du Gia - Ngoc Long ( Bamboo Raft ) - M slopes - Meo Vac - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Dong Van Old Quarter

After breakfast at 8:00 AM, you’ll pack up, say goodbye to your host family, and begin the second day of your adventure.

Your first stop is the remote village of Ngoc Long, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful bamboo raft ride along a jungle stream leading to a cave spring. Take time to relax, swim, and soak in the cool, clean waters surrounded by lush forest.

The journey continues through Mau Due to the scenic M Pass, known for its panoramic mountain views. Lunch will be served at a small local restaurant, offering stunning scenery and authentic flavors.

In the afternoon, your Easy Rider leads you along winding mountain roads, passing limestone peaks, jagged cliffs, and stretches of bamboo forest. Before reaching Meo Vac, you’ll follow a hidden trail — a secret route carved into the mountain’s base, far from the tourist path.

This leads you directly to the majestic Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most spectacular roads. From the top, you’ll admire the dramatic cliffs, the emerald Nho Que River below, and remote border villages nestled along the Chinese frontier.

Around 4:00 PM, you’ll arrive in Dong Van Old Quarter, check in, and rest. In the evening, enjoy dinner in the charming town center, and if the season allows, experience local music, dance, and vibrant street life.

Day 3: Dong Van - Ma Le - Lung Cu flagpole -Lao Xa - Tham Ma Pass - Yen Minh

Wake up early and enjoy a peaceful breakfast at 8:00 AM before checking out and getting ready for a new adventure.

Leaving the town behind, you’ll head to Ma Le Village, a quiet border village where you can literally see China just across a small stream. The tranquil rural landscape here offers a rare glimpse into life at the edge of the country.

Next, visit the Lung Cu Flag Tower, proudly standing at Vietnam’s northernmost point. From the top, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and capture unforgettable photos at this symbolic site.

Afterward, your guide will take you to a lovely local restaurant nestled in a small, scenic valley for lunch. It’s a perfect place to relax and soak in the peaceful vibes of the highlands.

In the afternoon, continue to Lao Xa Village, home to the Hmong people and famous for traditional silver crafting. Here, you’ll explore local homes and witness artisans working on delicate handmade jewelry. To reach this hidden gem, you’ll leave the main road and ride along a narrow path accessible only by motorbike – a real off-the-beaten-path experience.

The journey goes on as you conquer some of Ha Giang’s iconic mountain passes such as Chin Khoanh Pass and Tham Ma Pass, where winding roads hug the majestic limestone peaks.

By late afternoon, arrive in Yen Minh, check into your accommodation, and enjoy a hearty dinner after a full day of adventure.

Day 4: Yen Minh - Can Ty Pass - Quan Ba ( Queen Mountain ) - Ha Giang

On your final day, wake up to a delicious breakfast and check out of the homestay around 9:00 AM, ready for the last leg of your Ha Giang adventure.

The first stop of the day is Can Ty Pass, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views from above – a perfect spot to reflect on your journey so far.

Continue the ride to Quan Ba Heaven Gate, where you’ll park your motorbike and take a short hike to Lung Khuy Cave – one of the most impressive natural caves in the region. Stretch your legs and breathe in the fresh mountain air as you explore the cave’s stunning limestone formations, a refreshing change of pace after days on two wheels.

After the walk, head back to Quan Ba town for lunch at a local restaurant. Once recharged, the journey continues to Bac Sum Pass, where you’ll stop to take in the dramatic mountain scenery – a final visual feast of Ha Giang’s majestic landscapes.

On the return ride to Ha Giang City, there’s time for one last treat: a stop for a refreshing swim in a natural stream, the perfect way to cool down and wash off the road dust.

Around 2:00–3:00 PM, you’ll arrive back in Ha Giang, marking the end of an unforgettable journey through one of Vietnam’s most stunning and remote regions.
